Former NBA player Anthony Morrow has been facing kidnapping and strangling charges against woman and he was arrested in Charlotte on February 10. However, he was released in the bond of $15,000.

Reportedly Morrow allegedly assaulted a female from his hometown and is facing charges of assault on a woman, and also assault by strangulation, communicating threats, and second-degree kidnapping.

Morrow lawyer denies all the allegations

“According to court records obtained by local ABC affiliate WSOC-TV, Morrow was involved in a domestic violence incident with a woman inside her uptown Charlotte apartment. The documents allege that Morrow assaulted the woman, whom he was reportedly dating at the time, by “squeezing her neck with his hands” and “striking her multiple times with his fists.” The altercation reportedly resulted in the woman sustaining “scratches on the right side of her neck, a cut lip, and abrasions on her forehead,” as quoted by Sportskeeda.

Morrow’s lawyer issued a statement to WSOC-TV, noting that Morrow “denies these allegations” and “has faith in our justice system and has every confidence that a review of the evidence will reveal that he is not guilty.”

During his nine years in NBA, Morrow has played for seven different franchises. In 564 games of his NBA career averages at 9.4 points and 2.2 rebounds while and 41% from deep. Morrow played his final game on 2017 for Chicago Bulls.
