LSG registered a thrilling victory over RCB

Talking about LSG’s match against RCB, Bangalore got off to a rollicking start courtesy of their experienced opening duo of Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis. Kohli assumed the role of the aggressor at the start of the innings, racing to 50 off just 35 balls just after the powerplay finished. However, he couldn’t keep the acceleration the same and departed after scoring 61 runs off 44 balls.

However, as soon as Glenn Maxwell walked in, he changed the pace of the game post that. Faf du Plessis got his timing back and the crowd witnessed some dazzling strokeplay as both helped the team to achieve a monumental total of  212 runs in 20 overs. Chasing the target, LSG lost Kyle Mayers for a duck. Deepak Hooda and Krunal Pandya also fell cheaply. LSG were struggling at the end of the powerplay but Marcus Stoinis got the team back on track.

The rest of the work was done by Nicholas Pooran, who smashed a 15-ball 50. However, he couldn’t stay the course, but Ayush Badoni filled in and scored big shots. In the end, LSG needed only 1 run in the last delivery and they took the single as a bye and won the match.
