Joburg Super Kings skipper Faf du Plessis has been in a form of his life in the ongoing SA20 2023. While playing for the JSK, he has amassed 369 runs in nine games averaging 52.71 including a hundred and two fifties. Not to forget, he hit the maiden century in the history of the tournament last month. The Bangalore and Super Kings fans cheered for him in the game against Durban Super Giants.

Meanwhile, recently, the tournament was paused for the three-match ODI series between South Africa and England. Ahead of the tournament’s pause, the former Proteas skipper hit his maiden SA20 hundred. Meanwhile, after the resumption, the Super Kings played against Sunrisers Eastern Cape, the 38-year-old was looking good and racing towards his second hundred in the tournament.

However, ahead of the last over of the first innings, Du Plessis gout after scoring 92 runs. The right-hander played 61 balls and hit seven fours and four sixes. His innings helped the team reach 160/6. In reply, the Sunrisers lost the game by 24 runs.

Faf du Plessis will lead Bangalore in the Indian T20 League 2023

Notably, the Pretoria player will lead the Bangalore side in the upcoming Indian T20 League 2023. Last year, he was appointed the captain of the Red Brigade ahead of the 15th season. The team continued their consistency of reaching the playoffs which they have been doing since 2020.

Meanwhile, with only a couple of months left in the biggest T20 League, the fans are excited, especially the Bangalore ones. Not to forget, he hasn’t been playing international cricket since his Test retirement in early 2021. Meanwhile, the fans are hoping for him to continue playing the same way. “Important for me to convert those scores, all the leagues I play, I try to get hundreds,” he had said after socring his maiden SA20 hundred.
