Los Angeles Knight Riders had a batting disaster as they were bowled out for just 50 runs against MI New York (MINY) in match six of the Major League Cricket, USA. With this, LA also registered the lowest total of the tournament as New York registered a 105-run victory over them. Batting first, MINY posted a total of 155 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. In reply, LA was bowled out after reaching a half-century mark in 13.5 overs.

Coming out to bat, Dewald Brevis was the first one to get back to the pavilion as he got out after scoring 15 off 7 at the score of 25 runs in 2.2 overs. After that, Shayan Jahangir and Mohank Patel got out in the next couple of overs as the score was reduced to 37 for 3 in 4.3 overs. A few overs later, Hammad Azam also went back to the pavilion after scoring just 8 runs.

Wicketkeeper batter Nicholas Pooran took the innings further by scoring 38 runs off 37 balls hitting one four and two sixes before he got dismissed by Ali Khan in the 16th over. After that, Tim David remained unbeaten by playing a quickfire knock of 48 runs off 21 balls with 4 fours and 4 sixes as MI crossed the 15-run mark. For LA, Ali Khan, Corne Dry and Adam Zampa took 2-2 wickets, while Lockie Ferguson put 1 in his bag.

Unmkut Chand turned out to be a lone warrior for LA

Chasing the winning total, LA had a disastrous start as they lost 3 wickets for just 2 runs in 2.5 overs. Martin Guptill was the first batter to get back to the pavilion in the first over after scoring a duck. While both Rilee Rossouw and Nitish Kumar got out in the third over. Opening batter Unmukt Chand took the innings further along with a regular fall of wickets before getting out in the 10th over after scoring a run-a-ball 26 runs.

Apart from Chand, none of the batters could even reach a double-figure mark as LA got out in the 14th over with 105 runs short from MI’s total. For MINY, skipper Kieron Pollard, Trent Boult, Kagiso Rabada, Ehsan Adil and Nosthush Kenjige shared 2-2 wickets each.
