Harshal Patel pens down emotional message for his late sister

Harshal Patel has been an important part of Bangalore’s bowling attack in the Indian T20 League since the last season. His death-bowling expertise has added much value to the team. His exploits in the last season were so brilliant that he earned the purple cap for the season.

This year also the Bangalore team was depending on Harshal’s death over expertise but the plans of the team suffered a shock when the bowler had to leave the team. This was following the death of one of his closest family members-his elder sister.

His last appearance for Bangalore in the Indian T20 League 2022 was against Delhi, where he conceded 40 runs from his four overs. Amidst the personal tragedy, Harshal emotional strength will be tested. It needs to be seen how he survives this and comes back. Meanwhile, the bowler took to Instagram remembering his late sister, and wrote an emotional message for her.

“Didi, you were one of the kindest and most joyful people in our lives. You faced incredible difficulties in life with a big smile on your face till your last breath. When I was with you in the hospital before I came back to India, you told me to focus on my game and don’t worry about you. Those words was the only reason I could come back and take the field last night. That’s all I could do now to remember and honour you. I will continue to do everything that made you proud of me. I will miss you every moment of my life, in good times and bad. I love you so much. Rest in peace jadi.”
