The owner of the Sunrisers Hyderabad franchise, Kaviya Maran was seen frustrated with the cameraman when he was showing her on the big screen during match number 14 of IPL 2023 between SRH and Punjab Kings at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

The incident took place during the first innings when PBKS were batting. Kaviya was captured telling the cameraman “Hatt rey” when she was shown on TV and indicated not to focus on her during the first innings.

Talking about the match, SRH registered their first win of the ongoing season after losing their first two games consecutively, defeating PBKS by 8 wickets. While, on the other hand, PBKS lost their first game after winning against Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals, respectively. Batting first, PBKS posted a total of 143 runs for the loss of 9 wickets, powered by the 99-run knock by the skipper Shikhar Dhawan. In reply, SRH chased the winning total in 17.1 overs by losing 2 wickets.

Dhawan’s knock went in vain SRH registered an easy victory

PBKS didn’t had a great start as Bhuvneshwar Kumar dismissed Prabhsimran Singh on the very first ball of the match. After that, Marco Jansen strike twice dismissing Matt Short in the second over and Jitesh Sharma in the fourth over as the score was reduced to 22 for 3.

After that, Dhawan and Sam Curran added 41 runs for the fourth wicket. Curran (22 off 15) was looking in good touch but lost his wickets on the fifth ball of the ninth over trying to take on Mayank Markhande, but ended up giving a catch to Bhuvneshwar at the point.

After that, Dhawan took the innings further with wickets falling regularly from the other end. He added 55 runs with Mohit Rathee for the 10th wickets, out of which Rathee scored only 1 run playing just two deliveries. The PBKS skipper remained unbeaten on 99 runs from 66 balls, hitting 12 fours and five sixes.

Chasing the winning total, Rahul Tripathi took charge of SRH’s innings after they lost 2 wickets for 45 runs. After that Tripathi put up an unbeaten partnership of 100 runs along with the skipper Aiden Markram as SRH won the match with 17 balls to spare. Markram remained unbeaten on 37 off 21 hitting six boundaries, while Tripathi scored 74 runs off 48 balls with 10 fours and three sixes.
