‘Hindi kaise bhai’ – Fans react as Devon Conway refers to MS Dhoni as ‘Mahi bhai’, calls him ‘King of finishing’

Chennai Super Kings are eyeing their 5th IPL title as they prepare to take on Gujarat Titans in Qualifier 1. The Men in Yellow have been in good form this season, having won 8 out of their 14 games. They finished 2nd in the points table to book a slot in the first playoff game.

Ahead of the game, the team’s Twitter handle posted an interaction with their opener, Devon Conway. The left-hander spoke a variety of topics, including his relationship with opener Ruturaj Gaikwad and how they are prepared to face GT.

The New Zealand player also spoke about the team balance this season and spoke about MS Dhoni’s finishing skills. “Mahi bhai is obviously king when it comes to finishing,” Conway said in the video that has been doing rounds on the internet.

In the meantime, fans were in shock when they heard Conway refer to Dhoni as “Mahi Bhai.” Some called it a PR stunt, while others said that the video was scripted rather than being a natural interaction video. “He literally said Mahi bhai?” questioned a fan.

There have been several rumours concerning MS Dhoni’s future in the competition. Many feel that this is his final season in the competition, while others predict that he will continue to lead the four-time champions in the next season.

While there have been no conformations by the man himself, he has dropped a few hints about the same. He also has thanked the crowd at different venues where he played in the IPL 2023, including the lap of honour at the Chepauk Stadium, CSK’s home in the IPL. If this is Dhoni’s final season, the Yellow Army would like to end on a high note by winning their fifth trophy, equaling Mumbai Indians’ record. This would be the perfect tribute for MS Dhoni by his teammates.

Conway and Ruturaj performed in top order. These left and right hand combination did extremely well in this IPL. There was no Bravo, Rayyudu this year still CSK did excellent in auction and got results in group stage of IPL
