Indian T20 League 2022: Match 7- Lucknow vs Chennai: Three player contests to watch out for

Lucknow and Chennai are to face each other in the 7th Match of the Indian T20 League 2022. Both the teams are coming into this encounter with a defeat. The teams will be looking to put up a better show in their second outing for the tournament and make a comeback in the run for the title. Here are three face-offs that might decide the fate of the match.
1. KL Rahul vs Adam Milne: KL Rahul has played 11 deliveries from Milne in the international T20 competitions in 2021. In these 11 deliveries, he has scored 23 runs at a strike rate of 209.10. So, Rahul completely dominates this clash as Milne has not been able to dismiss him during the period. But, in the first match, Rahul was dismissed by a ball that moved slightly outward and caught him by surprise. Chennai will be hoping that Milne picks up the prized scalp of Rahul early and gives them an advantage.
2. MS Dhoni vs Ravi Bishnoi: MS Dhoni like many a time was Chennai’s last resort in batting in their first match of the tournament. He scored a brilliant half-century and took Chennai to a somewhat respectable total. But, his weakness against leg-spin is known to all. So, Ravi Bishnoi will be skipper KL Rahul’s go-to bowler if and when MSD comes to bat. In 2021 the leg-spinner had complete dominance over Dhoni. Bishnoi bowled 9 deliveries to MSD in which he dismissed him once and gave away just 10 runs.
3. Ruturaj Gaikwad vs Avesh Khan: In the first match of the tournament, it was evident that Chennai depends heavily on Ruturaj. As he was dismissed early Chennai lost its way and never recovered. KL Rahul will be hoping the same happens when they meet Chennai, and he has the best weapon suited for the job. Avesh Khan has had the upper hand over Gaikwad in 2021. He bowled 11 deliveries to Ruturaj dismissing him once and just conceded 9 runs. So, both the players will look to outdo each other in the match.
