IPL 2022: Top 10 Memes from the Lucknow vs Chennai match

The debutants of the Indian T20 League, Lucknow played their second match of the Indian T20 league 2022 against Chennai at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. The game turned out to be a high-scoring affair as batters from both teams made the most of a belter of a pitch.
The Lucknow skipper KL Rahul won the toss and invited Chennai to bat first. Chennai got off to a great start courtesy of some brilliant stroke play by Robin Uthappa. Uthappa took the clock back to the time when fans used to enjoy his classy batting as he played for Kolkata. He scored a brilliant half-century off 27 deliveries before being dismissed by Ravi Bishnoi. After this, a brilliant knock was played by Shivam Dube (49 off 30), aided by Moeen Ali (35 off 22). After the fifth wicket fell MSD walked into bat and played a vintage Dhoni inning. He scored a 6 ball 16 and the fans were elated to see ‘Thala’ turning the clock back to 2011 when this sort of knock from him was pretty common.
Lucknow started the chase just on the right note. The openers in De Kock and KL Rahul gave them a great start. They scored 99 runs from 10.2 overs before Rahul was dismissed by Dwaine Pretorius for 40 from 26 deliveries. Manis Pandey did not last long as Tushar Deshpande dismissed him cheaply. Quinton de Kock and Evin Lewis then decided to calm their nerves down and slow things a bit. The required run-rate started to increase. De Kock succumbed under the pressure and was dismissed by Dwaine Pretorius for 61 off 45 deliveries. Lewis stayed at the crease till the end scoring 55 off 23 deliveries. He was aided by a cameo from Ayush Badoni (19 off 9) as Lucknow won the match by six wickets.
