The third week of the ongoing IPL 2023 has concluded. Delhi Capitals, who lost their first five games, managed to register their first win. On the other hand, teams such as Rajasthan Royals, Lucknow Super Giants, and Punjab Kings won one game and lost as many this week. Apart from this, Mumbai Indians won three back-to-back wins while Kolkata Knight Riders lost as many games.

Meanwhile, during the week, there were players who came up with wonderful performances. They have made it to the playing XI of the week. So without further ado, let’s have a look at the playing XI of the week.

Playing XI of the third week of IPL 2023

1. Opening batters – Devon Conway, Faf du Plessis

The current RCB skipper and former CSK player Du Plessis is currently the Orange Cap holder with 343 runs. On the other hand, Conway, the current CSK opener is in the fourth spot with 258 runs. Both players have made it into the playing XI as openers for the third week of the tournament.

2. Middle Order and all-rounders

Last week, Venkatesh Iyer scored his maiden IPL century. For the second time after Brendon McCullum, a KKR player scored a hundred. Talking about Sanju Samson, he scored a match-defining half-century against the defending champions, Gujarat Titans. He also makes it into the team as a wicketkeeper batter.

Shimron Hetmyer also scored a match-winning half-century in the same game which is why he makes it into the team. On the other hand, Shivam Dube, who has scored some quick runs during the tournament also makes it into the side.

3. Bowlers

RCB’s Mohammed Siraj is the purple cap holder with 12 wickets in the season. He would easily make it into the side. On the other hand, players such as Sam Curran, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Kuldeep Yadav also make it to the team. They have come up some impeccable performances with the ball
