IPL 2024: Five players RCB will target in mini auction

Three-time finalists Royal Challengers Bangalore have announced their list of retained and released players ahead of the IPL 2024 player auction. In the 2023 season, the team finished outside of playoffs, and their dream of winning their maiden title crashed once again. Meanwhile, the Red Army will look to prepare for the 17th season during the player auction. In this listicle, we will discuss five players that RCB will target on December 19.

1. Mitchell Starc

The left-arm pacer played for the team in the 2014 and 2015 seasons and did well with the ball in the 2015 season. However, in late 2015, he got injured and missed out on the T20 World Cup in March-April 2016. This led to him missing the 2016 season and even though he was picked by KKR in 2017, Starc missed out again due to injury.

Since then, the three-time World Champion has avoided the tournament to keep himself fit for international cricket. However, with T20 World Cup 2024 to be played after the IPL, the NSW player has made himself available for the auction. The three-time finalists will look to target their former player.
