The left-hander opening batter quite literally owned the ODI World Cup 2023. With close to 600 runs in 11 games, he became the highest run-getter by a batter in his debut World Cup, leaving behind his skipper Kane Williamson, former Pakistan skipper Babar Azam, etc. Meanwhile, with Faf du Plessis being at the wrong side of the 30s and Ravindra being young, the team will look for a long-term solution.
