New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson, who is running out of the game due to an injury, has started his rehabilitation after a successful knee operation. Last month, Williamson ruptured his ACL, or anterior cruciate ligament, in his right knee. The incident occurred during the opening match between Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2023.
Following the injury, the star cricketer was ruled out of the rest of the tournament, and his availability for the upcoming 50-over World Cup in India remains in doubt. However, in a recent Instagram post, Williamson informed that he has started his recovery after successful surgery. He posted an image on Instagram captioned, “Surgery (check mark emoji) Now hanging out at my new home.”
Notably, Star India batter Virat Kohli and allrounder Hardik Pandya have wished him a speedy recovery. Kohli said, “Get well soon my brother,” Kohli wrote in the comment section. To show his support, Hardik Pandya commented with fire emojis. Williamson was a member of the Gujarat Titans franchise, which is led by Pandya.

However, Kohli’s special message for Kane Williamson didn’t go well with the netizens as fans troll him for supporting foreign players but fighting with Indian legend Gautam Gambhir. Notably, last night after a high-voltage game between Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore, Virat Kohli indulged in a verbal spat with LSG mentor Gautam Gambhir.
Their ugly banter was unwanted and both were slammed by cricket pundits and fans for their aggression. Both of the superstars were charged by IPL as they crossed the line. IPL fined them 100% of match fees for breaching the code of conduct under article 2.21 of the Indian Premier League.
