Kieron Pollard has posted a cryptic message on Instagram. The former Mumbai Indians player has taken social media on storm with his new message which seems like an indirect jibe at a certain player. The message of the experienced player has come at a time when he has been announced as the captain of Mumbai Indians in SA20 and MLC.

The fans could not help but think of it to be Hardik Pandya, who recently replaced Rohit Sharma as the captain of MI for the 17th edition of the IPL. Pollard posted a story on Instagram which had the quote; “Once the rain is over, an umbrella becomes a burden to everyone. That’s how loyalty ends when benefits stop”. It took the internet by storm.

Kieron is the batting coach of MI for IPL 2024. Over the years, Pollard has been one of the greatest finishers in the history of the IPL. With the bat, the Caribbean giant won many matches for Mumbai Indians. For the same reason, the fans of MI and Rohit Sharma like him a lot. It seems like Pollard has stood for the former MI captain under whom he played.

Kieron Pollard to lead Mumbai Indians!

Kieron Pollard is announced as the new captain to lead Mumbai Indians Cape Town in SA20 in 2024. The star player will lead MI Cape Town in the upcoming South African T20 competition, as Rashid Khan has not yet recovered from the injury he sustained recently. The official announcement came from the owners of the franchise, as they named one of their former players in the IPL to lead them.

Pollard will be playing his first-ever match for MI Cape Town. Reports claim that Pollard would also take part in the ILT20 for MI Emirates, although the official confirmation regarding the same has not come out. In the recently concluded Abu Dhabi T10 league, Pollard’s New York Strikers lost to Deccan Gladiators. Pollard would be hoping to have a good start to 2024 by helping MI Cape Town to win the title.
