‘Kitna show off karega vadapav’ – Fans react over Rohit Sharma’s photoshoot with five IPL trophies
Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma, recently, did a photo shoot with the five IPL trophies he won as a captain of Mumbai Indians ahead of the clash against Rajasthan Royals on April 30th at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Rohit completed his 10 years as MI captain on April 24th and he will also be turning 36 on May 30th.
On the occasion of his 36th birthday, MI will dedicate their upcoming match against RR to Rohit to celebrate his 10 years as the skipper of MI. The Indian skipper had a great time in those 10 years as he led MI to five titles in 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2020.
He was given the captaincy in the mid-season in 2013 after their regular skipper Ricky Ponting decided to step down following a series of losses. Rohit Sharma impressed one and all with his captaincy and led MI to their first-ever IPL title after not having a great start in the first half.
MI, thereafter, went on to win four more trophies under Rohit’s captaincy and became the most successful team in the history of IPL. However, they haven’t had a great outing in the last two seasons as they haven’t been able to qualify for the playoffs in 2021 and 2022.
MI had a disastrous season in 2022 as they finished at 10th position on the points table after winning just four out of their 14 league matches.
MI have had a lot of ups and downs in the ongoing season as they currently stand in the eighth position after winning three out of eight games played so far. They started off their 2023 campaign with back-to-back losses against Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings.
After that, MI went on to register three consecutive victories against Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders, and Sunrisers Hyderabad.
However, MI suffered a couple of defeats against, losing against Punjab Kings and Gujarat Titans. Now, the five-time champions will be looking to get back into the winning ways after defeating the table toppers RR.

Genuine question for true cricket fans.
Which is a more relevant trophy? A domestic t20 league tournament that happens every year or an ICC U19 WC which happens once in 2 years and one can play it just once in his lifetime. pic.twitter.com/xWQTNsprzz
