Cricket is always known to be a great leveller. The game gives a roller coaster ride and it’s through a strong mentality that one survives the ups and downs and makes it big. However, not all those who play the game are lucky enough to sustain for a long time.

Mohit Sharma has been out of Indian cricket for quite some time now. He was last seen sporting the Blues of India in October 2015. He was also a part of the Indian National Team in the 2014 T20 World Cup and the 2015 Cricket World Cup. From representing India on the international stage to being roped in as a net bowler for the Gujarat franchise for Indian T20 League 2022, one has to feel sorry for him.

Mohit was once the leader of the pace attack of the Chennai team in the Indian T20 League. But his career started to take a dip after the Chennai team was suspended from the tournament in 2015. While playing for Punjab in the next two seasons, he could not come up with consistent performances. Later, Chennai bought him back in 2018, but he was not given enough chances to showcase his skills. All this led to a dip in fortunes for the pacer. Notably, the highest point of Mohit’s career came in 2014 when he won the Purple Cap while playing for Chennai.

Mohit’s massive downfall led to fans feeling bad for him. Many fans took to Twitter and expressed their surprise at how the tables have turned for the 2014 Purple Cap winner.
