Lanka Premier League 2023: Sri Lanka Cricket announces complete schedule
The schedule for the eagerly awaited Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2023 season has been released by Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC). From July 30 through August 20, the fourth T20 competition promises to feature exhilarating cricketing action. The current champions, the Jaffna Kings, will play the Colombo Strikers in the tournament’s first game. Fans can anticipate a riveting matchup between these two strong teams, which will pave the way for an exciting new season.
The LPL 2023 will begin with a few games in Colombo, then move on to several games at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy. Colombo will once more host the knockout round and business end of the league, making it the ideal location for the tournament’s finale.
LPL 2023 will feature a reserve day for the final
A reserve day has been set aside to provide flexibility and to account for unanticipated events. The final will be played on Monday, August 21, barring any unlucky circumstances, such as weather delays or other issues. The Jaffna Kings, Colombo Strikers, B-Love Kandy, Dambulla Aura, and Galle Titans are the five teams competing in the LPL 2023. Before the knockout rounds, each team will play the other twice in a double round-robin format. The top four teams from the LPL Points Table will move on to the playoffs, which will have a Qualifier 1 and an Eliminator matchup similar to the IPL.
