‘Like Father Like Son’ – Fans applaud Arjun Tendulkar as he scores ton on Ranji debut
Legendary India cricketer, Sachin Tendulkar’s son, Arjun Tendulkar has made a unique record in the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2022-23. Notably, the Junior Tendulkar is making his debut for Goa. Not to forget, he switched his First Class team as he wasn’t getting any opportunity for the Mumbai side. Meanwhile, in the ongoing game against Rajasthan, Arjun has scored 112 runs and counting.
Another notable thing is that Sachin also scored a hundred in his Ranji Trophy debut in the game against Gujarat in 1988. Not to forget, a year later, he made his Test debut for India against the likes of Imran Khan, Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, the late Abdul Qadir, etc. Meanwhile, 34 years after Sachin’s achievement in India’s premier First Class tournament, his son has scored a hundred on debut.
In the ongoing game against Rajasthan, the left-hander has amassed 112 runs including 15 fours and two sixes. At the time of writing, the teams have gone into a Tea break.

Arjun Tendulkar scores century on Ranji Trophy debut. Interestingly, his dad Sachin Tendulkar also scored hundred on Ranji debut for Bombay vs Gujarat in 1988, Sachin was only 15 years old. #RanjiTrophy

Arjun Tendulkar's move to Goa could turn out to be a game-changer for him.
You can grow in your role only if you get more opportunities. It relates to all fields.

Century for Arjun Tendulkar in Ranji debut. His father Sachin did the same in 1988. #ArjunTendulkar pic.twitter.com/RP6hSDhLtQ

Sachin Tendulkar said "Getting maximum game time is important for Arjun. We believe that his shift from Mumbai to Goa will improve the probability of him featuring in more competitive matches."
That was a far sighted move for Arjun Tendulkar. MI should have tried him too.#Ranji
