Unidentified gunmen gun down a supermarket in Rosario city in Argentina. The place is owned by none other than Lionel Messi‘s wife Antonela Roccuzzo’s family. Two unidentified men arrived at the location and one of them caught started firing at metal shutters over the windows and front door. More than six shots and they left a message that reads “Messi. We are waiting for you. Javkin is not going to look after you.”

Pablo Javkin is the current mayor of Rosario. A local TV reported that this could be a case of trying to extort money from the seven-times Ballon D’Or winner. It has also been suggested that football hooligans known in Argentina as barra brava could be behind the raid. Talking about the market, it is managed by one of the cousins of Antonela. Following the shooting, the market is expected to remain closed on March 2.

Lionel Messi owns a huge mansion in Rosario

On the other hand, the FIFA World Cup 2022 winning skipper owns a huge mansion on the outskirts of Rosario called ‘The Fortress.’ It is built on three adjoining plots of land in a gated private estate. It also has a huge cinema, gym and underground garage with enough space for 15 cars. Notably, the 35-year-old gifted 35 iPhone 14 for his World Cup-winning teammates and the Argentina staff. The phones are 24-carat devices that will be personalized for every player and staff.

The cost of the entire purchase is £175,000 to get the customized phones for his teammates. They are reportedly set to have each person’s name engraved along with the AFA logo.

“Lionel is not only the Goat but he’s one of IDESIGN GOLD’s most loyal customers and got in touch with us a couple of months after the World Cup final. He said he wanted a special gift for all the players and staff to celebrate the amazing win but didn’t want the usual gift of watches. So, I suggested gold iPhones inscribed with their names and he loved the idea,” Ben, CEO of iDesign Gold, said while speaking to The Sun.
