Lionel Messi’s Paris Saint-Germain announces dates for their friendly clash against Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr
FIFA World Cup 2022 winner, Lionel Messi, and Portugal legend, Cristiano Ronaldo will reportedly face off this month. Apparently, the former’s team, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) announced that they will play Al Nassr, Ronaldo’s team. The French club posted a statement on its official website. In the statement, the club’s stated that the team will travel to Doha and Riyadh in Qatar.
The statement added that apart from playing the game, they will also participate in different activities by the club’s presenters. As per the statement, the team will fly out to the middle eastern country on January 17 to Doha and will travel to Riyadh for their friendly game against Al Nassr. Both teams will lock horns on January 19.
“Paris Saint-Germain will travel to Doha and Riyadh on the 18th and 19th of January. This tour will be an opportunity for the Parisians to meet their Qatari and MENA supporters, train in the iconic Khalifa Stadium and take part in a series of activations organized with the Club’s partners present in Qatar, such as Qatar Airways, ALL, Qatar Tourism, QNB, Ooredoo and Aspetar.
“The team will fly out on January 17th to Doha then travel to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to play against an all-star XI from Saudi top clubs Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr. The match will be held at King Fahd Stadium in Riyadh on January 19th. The team will fly back after the game to Paris,” PSG said in their statement on their website.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi will each other after 2020
Since December 2020, both legends haven’t played each other. At that time, Ronaldo played for Juventus while Messi participated for his long-time club, Barcelona. Now, things have changed and both players have parted ways with the club. Notably, the Portugal player is yet to play for his new club. Apparently, the 37-year-old had a row with a fad during his time at Manchester United last year. After this, he was handed a two-match ban. He is reportedly set to play against PSG.
