Portugal football legend, Cristiano Ronaldo might have a good ending to a torrid year. The 37-year-old had a year to forget as he lost his unborn child, was cast out of Manchester United, bashed by trollers, and whatnot. However, before the end of 2022, he has been signed by Saudi Arabia’s football club, Al-Nassr. Fans might remember him being rumored to be signed by the club.

Apparently, during the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar, the former Real Madrid player was rumored to be signed by the Asian club. Meanwhile, ahead of the new year (2023), the club has officially signed the legend. In a statement issued by the club, it started by saying that history has been created. It added that Ronaldo will inspire the club to achieve greater success. He has been signed at an annual salary of INR 1,770 crore.

“History in the making. This is a signing that will not only inspire our club to achieve even greater success but inspire our league, our nation and future generations, boys and girls to be the best version of themselves. Welcome @Cristiano to your new home @AlNassrFC,” the statement read.

Cristiano Ronaldo had a forgettable exit from Manchester United

Before the World Cup, Ronaldo gave an explosive interview with a famous British broadcaster, the former took a scathing dig at the club. Ronaldo started by saying “I don’t have respect for him because he doesn’t show respect for me. If you don’t have respect for me, I’m never gonna have respect for you,” Ronaldo said on Piers Morgan Uncensored.

After this, the former Juventus player added “I think the fans should know the truth. I want the best for the club. This is why I come to Manchester United,” Ronaldo said.

“But you have some things inside that don’t help (us) reach the top level as City, Liverpool and even now Arsenal . . . a club with this dimension should be top of the tree in my opinion and they are not, unfortunately,” Ronaldo added.
