PSG striker Kylian Mbappe set to join Real Madrid after PSG contract expires, at end of season: Reports

The 25-year-old French soccer superstar Kylian Mbappe will be on the move this summer. According to multiple reports, including Le Parisien and ESPN. He’s reportedly agreed to join Real Madrid once his contract with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) ends at the end of the season.

Mbappé has been linked to a possible move to the Spanish giants over the last couple of years, but nothing ever unfolded as he remained in Paris. According to ESPN, Mbappe has not yet informed PSG or Real Madrid of his decision but is expected to make an announcement next week.

Mbappe has declined an offer of €72 million by PSG

As per the French publication, Le Parisien, the star footballer is in talks with the Spanish club and a confirmation might come any time soon. If Mbappé decides to make a move to Real Madrid, then it will be a huge success for the Galacticos. As it would be on a free transfer. The 2018 World Cup winner had earlier quashed the rumours of joining the English club Liverpool.

Mbappe scored over 230 goals in more than 284 appearances. The sudden departure of Mbappe will not be a good sign for a club like PSG. PSG  is set to peg them back badly. He is currently the leading goal scorer in the Ligue 1 this season. He scored a total of 20 goals in 19 fixtures.

Wissam Ben Yedder of A S Monaco is second on the list (10 goals in 18 appearances) this season whereas Alexandre Lacazette is occupying the third spot (9 goals in 16 appearances) for Olympique Lyonnais. Meanwhile, PSG is at the top of the points table with 14 wins in 20 games in the ongoing 2023-24 season.

In 2022 there are rumors of his departure for Madrid, but the French president phoned him and urged him to stay.
