Former India opening batter Virender Sehwag is one of those cricketers to score an ODI double hundred. In fact, Sachin Tendulkar (200 not out) was the first player to do so in a game against South Africa in early 2010. Close to two years later in December 2011, his opening partner, Sehwag managed to do so. In the fourth ODI against the West Indies, the home team, India won the toss and elected to bat first.

Suresh Raina, who was promoted up the order, added another 140 runs for the second wicket. He was also run out after scoring 55 runs. While the likes of Virat Kohli (23*) and Rohit Sharma (27) played cameos, Sehwag became the second cricketer to score a double hundred.

At the time, Tendulkar wasn’t with the team as some of the senior guys were traveling to Australia for an all-format tour.
