Rajasthan’s star bowler injured, likely to miss next match
Rajasthan took on Hyderabad in the 5th match of the Indian T20 League 2022. It was a clinical performance by the men in pink as they registered a comfortable win in their first match of the tournament. Rajasthan batted first in the match and scored 210 runs in their allotted 20 overs. The batting effort from Rajasthan was a proper team effort where everybody contributed. Hyderabad never looked to be in the chase as they kept losing wickets from the very beginning of their innings. Hyderabad was 3 down for 9 runs in the first five overs of their innings and never recovered from this initial setback. Rajasthan ultimately won the match by a margin of 61 runs.
The last over of the Hyderabad innings was given to Nathan Coulter-Nile. The first ball of the over was a no-ball, however, the Australian pacer appeared to be uncomfortable after completing the delivery. He was not able to continue further and walked off the field. The over was completed by the part-time spinner Riyan Parag.

While walking off, Coulter-Nile was seen holding his leg which suggests that he has sustained a calf muscle injury. According to reports, The Australian pacer might miss out on the second encounter of Rajasthan against Mumbai. Although he did not have a good first outing for the team, giving away 48 runs in 3 overs without getting a wicket, he is a major part of Rajasthan’s plan. If he misses out on the next match, that could be a setback to the team’s plans. The development, however, awaits official confirmation.
