4. Punjab Kings (PBKS) – Harshal Patel

After RCB, Punjab Kings spent a lot of amount on Harshal Patel. PBKS went up to INR 11.75 crores for Harshal Patel in the mini-aucton. During the 2023–24 Vijay Hazare Trophy, Harshal was in outstanding form, taking 19 wickets for Haryana in 10 matches with an economy of 5.41. Hopefully, he can continue his form during the IPL to justify the money spent on him. 

3. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) – Daryl Mitchell

After two years away, Daryl Mitchell will return to the league as the reigning champion Chennai Super Kings bid INR 14 crore for him at the auction, becoming the New Zealander with the most expensive purchase ever by CSK. With 552 runs in nine innings, the Kiwi batter was the fifth-leading run scorer at the 2023 World Cup. It will be exciting to see him bat during the IPL.
