Virat Kohli May Have To Call It Quits From T20Is After T20 World Cup – Reports
Virat Kohli is currently busy playing for India in the ongoing Asia Cup 2022. Before this tournament, he last played in the England series. Then he took a rest from both the tours to West Indies and Zimbabwe. As per reports, selectors wanted him to be available for those series.
But, it was Virat’s request to the Board not to select him for those tours. Now, he is with the team India and is most likely to be available full until the end of the T20 World Cup in Australia. But, reports are there that his T20I future could be in danger after the World Cup.

Since 2019, Kohli failed to score big runs for India across all three formats. In the recent series in England, fans were expecting to see him in his full form. But, he failed again miserably. However, former players also started to question his palace in the playing XI despite having a poor run of form in recent times. Now, reports are there that the Indian selectors might discuss his T20I future after the upcoming World Cup.
Meanwhile, in a recent interview, Virat Kohli opened up about mental health issues. He said that the intensity of playing the game was lacking for him and he was unaware of that fact. He said; “I want to make my team win at any cost and if that means that I am gasping for breath and I walk off the field, so be it. I mean that’s the kind of preparation I go through to be able to play like that. Wo naturally nahi ho Raha tha aur mujhe push Karna pad Raha tha (I was not able to get that high intensity naturally, I was pushing myself to do it). But I just didn’t know it,”
But, in the first match of the Asia Cup 2022 against Pakistan, he looked in some form. While chasing the target of 148 runs, Virat scored vital 35 runs off 34 balls, including three fours and one six. He will be in action again for India when they will take on Hongkong on 31 August 2022.
