India and Pakistan played their anticipate Super 12 encounter of the ongoing 20-20 World Cup 2022 in a way that was expected from them. The Asian rivals fought till the end but only one team could win the game. It was the Men In Blue who won and emerged triumphant after the game. After the game, Pakistan skipper Babar Azam gave an emotional speech to players in the dressing room.

In the speech, he pressed on the fact that the team played well in the tough game. The right-hander also urged the players not to play the blame game and leave the loss behind them. Azam further added that the tournament and the team can do well in the rest of the Super 12 games.

“Brothers, it was a good match. We put in the effort like always. We put in the effort, but some mistakes happened. But from those mistakes, we have to learn, we shouldn’t fall. The tournament has just started, we have lots of matches left, remember that,” Babar said in his dressing room speech.

“We didn’t lose because of one person. We all lost as a team. Nobody should point fingers at one person. This should not happen, not in this team. As a team we lost and we will win as a team. We have to stick together, remember that,” the skipper continued.

“We have had good performances as well, so look at those also. The small mistakes that were made, we need to work on those as a team,” he said.

Mohammad Nawaz, you are my match winner: Babar Azam

The left-handed all-rounder bowled the last over of the game and needed to defend 16 runs. Even though he took two wickets in the over, he could stop Virat Kohli and Ravichandran Ashwin from scoring the required runs. After the game, Babar tried to motivate his all-rounder by saying that the latter is the team’s match-winner.

“Don’t worry Nawaz. You are my match winner and I will always believe in you. You will win matches for me. It was a pressure game but you took it very close so very well done,” Babar said as the dressing room erupted in applause.

“Whatever it is, leave it here. Going ahead, we will start afresh. As a team, we played very well and we have to continue like this. Wish you all the best,” he concluded.
