The recent game between Manchester United and Chelsea ended in a draw with both teams scoring one goal each. The first goal of the game came from Chelsea’s Marco Alonso in the 60th minute of the game. However, United made a comeback in the game thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo and Nemanja Matic. A few minutes later, Matic passed the ball to Ronaldo while chipping it over the opposition’s defense.

The Portugal player smashed the ball into the nets to give the team an equalizer. Notably, Matic is a former Chelsea player. Three days after the incident, their sons, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr and Filip Matic recreated the scene in an indoor football facility. The youngsters are members of Manchester United Academy.

On the other hand, after the game against Chelsea, the Manchester United manager Ralf Rangnick praised Ronaldo and Matic for their all-important goal, which help them avoid defeat. The game was played at the Old Trafford, which is the home ground for the Men In Red. While speaking on CR7, Rangnick said that despite his growing age, Ronaldo is as good as anyone.

“[It was] not only the goal that he scored today, also his whole performance, his attitude. How often he helped in our own half. At the age of 37, a player like him, this is not normal to do that. He showed that today and if he plays like he did today he can still be a great help for this team,” Rangnick said as quoted by Sports Tiger

On the other hand, the manager also spoke about the performance of Matic. He said that Matic is a top class professional player. “He’s got a top mentality, he’s a top-class professional player and that’s why I’m happy I could give him more game time in the last couple of weeks. For me, [it was] a very good performance by Nema.”
