Kudos to the guys for having the confidence in me – Chadwick Walton
Guyana Amazon Warriors miserably failed to defend the target of 167 runs and TKR won at the end of 18.1 overs. The team’s Chadwick Walton and Nicholas Pooran became the highest scorers for the team by scoring 80 and 33 runs off 57 and 34 deliveries respectively. Trinbago Knight Riders sealed an easy victory against Guyana Amazon Warriors by 7 Wickets.
“I would like to thank the coaches and players for having the confidence in me. Happy with the win. Has been an emotional ride and a half-century. Kudos to the guys for having the confidence in me. Only if we win the final, will feel better than this.”, said Chadwick Walton, after being awarded as the player of the match for Trinbago Knight Riders.
“Proper planning. Credit to the back room staff. The way we planned and executed was superb. I don’t want to single out anybody. We gave guys chances in the last game we played here. The bowling unit delivered entirely. The message was simple to the batters. We knew they were 20-25 runs short. Walton got an opportunity after Guptill’s absence and scored a crucial knock. Would be interesting to see who we play in the finals. Will give us enough time to enjoy this win. We will take the next 24 hours to bask in the glory of this win. Will like to thank the crowd. We will continue to put a smile on the faces of the people no matter what.”, said Kieron Pollard.
