The first Test between Australia and South Africa just lasted for only two days. During the game, the bowlers had the ascendency over the batter over the course of the Test match. Meanwhile, during the game, the Proteas pacer, Kagiso Rabad accidentally slapped his skipper, Tenba Bavuma. In a video that is doing the round on the internet, the right-arm was celebrating a wicket alongside his mates.

However, Rabada was looking at another side when Bavuma joined in. The former just tried to give his skipper a high-five without even seeing. As it turned out, the 2014 U19 World Cup winner accidentally hit the face of Bavuma.

Talking about the game, the visitors batted first after losing the toss. They could only amass 152 runs with wicketkeeper batter, Kyle Verreynne scoring a fifty. In reply, the Aussies got to 218, thanks to Travis Head’s 90-odd runs. They led the game by 66 runs. In the second innings, the Dean Elgar-led was all-out on 99, setting a meager target of 34 runs for the Kangaroos. Notably, after losing four wickets, the Pat Cummins-led side chased down the target.

A lot of fans have been criticizing the wicket as the game ended in two days. However, both skippers, Elgar and Cummins have opened up. The former said “It was pretty spicy (smiles), if you’re a bowler, you’d be licking your lips by how everything unfolded. Challenging for the batters, no doubt. That is okay if there is a good contest between bat and ball. Obviously, on the flip side, I don’t see it was that way really.”

On the other hand, Cummins said “I’m a bowler, you’re asking the wrong person (smiles). We had a couple of partnerships, a couple of batters played well. Head almost got a hundred on it. In a way, happy to have ended on the right side of it.”
