Watch: Shaheen Afridi bowls a yorker to Rahmanullah Gurbaz, latter hospitalized
Pakistan and Afghanistan are locking horns in their second and last warm-up game before their 20-20 World Cup 2022 campaign begins. In the game, the Green Brigade bowled well but Afghanistan has staged a wonderful comeback as we speak. Meanwhile, during the game, Pakistan’s lead pacer, Shaheen Afridi bowled a toe crushing yorker to Rahmanullah Gurbaz. Although, the toe crushing yorker is a metaphorical term used in cricket, the left-arm pacer literally did it.
In the third over of the game, he bowled an inswing yorker from over the wicket to Gurbaz. The latter was adjudged plumb lbw by the umpire. After this, the Afghanistan’s opening batter was finding difficult to stand on his feet. He was carried by his teammate on his back. The reports suggest that the right-hander was rushed to a hospital. The team management would be hoping for him to recover before their first Super 12 game against 2010 winners, England on October 22.
