The ongoing game between India and South Africa has been dominated by the home team. Not for a single moment, it looked like the visitors are staging a comeback. It all started with Shikhar Dhawan winning the toss and electing to bowl first. He asked Washinton Sundar to bowl the first over with a slip and short leg in place. Sundar and Mohammed Siraj took two wickets each to create problems for the opposition.

Shahbaz Ahmed also took two wickets as well. However, the star in the bowling department was Kuldeep Yadav. He took a four-wicket haul and completely bamboozled the Proteas. He missed out on a hat trick but ensured that the South African don’t cross the 100-run mark. He took the last wicket of Marco Jansen to bowl out the opposition on 99 runs. In reply, the Men In Blue had a great start.

Opening batter Shubman Gill played some wonderful shots, to begin with. In the midst of this, he played a couple of against Jansen in the fifth over of the innings. During the over, he played a square cut and a pull shot against the tall lanky pacer. The two shots show how good he is on the back foot. The Indian Cricket Board took to Twitter and uploaded the video.

Talking about the game, skipper Dhawan (8) lost his wicket due to his own casual approach. Going for a non-existent single, he was turned down by Gill on time but the left-hander casually went back which is why he couldn’t make it before the bails were taken off. On the other hand, the 2018 U19 World Cup winner showed his class with an innings of 49 runs. The right-hander missed out on the first half-century of the series.

In the previous game, the youngster started well with a 26-ball 28. However, he was caught and bowled by Kagiso Rabada. In the ongoing game, he was taken out by Lungi Ngidi. At the time of writing, India won the game by seven wickets with Shreya Iyer hitting a six.
