Royal Challengers Bangalore star batter Virat Kohli met his child coach Rajkumar Sharma at the Arun Jaitley Stadium ahead of RCB’s ongoing clash with Delhi Capitals in IPL 2023. Before the match started, the 34-year-old met his coach and even touched his feet.

Rajkumar played a crucial role in Kohli’s initial years as a cricketer and helped him to achieve new heights in the game throughout the years. Recently, he was interviewed by RCB where he revealed various facets of the star Indian cricketer’s early days in the sport.

Under Rajkumar’s guidance, Kohli grew heaps and represented the Delhi state team and eventually lead the Indian under-19 team to victory in U-19 World Cup in 2008. In the same year, Kohli was picked by RCB for the inaugural season of IPL and eventually earned a maiden call for the Indian for a tour to Sri Lanka.

Kohli is now considered one of the greatest cricketers in the world. He made and broke various records in the game and has been one of the most consistent batters throughout the years. He is only behind Sachin Tendulkar in the list of players with the most international centuries, with 75 to his name. He is also the fastest cricketer to achieve the milestone of 25,000 international runs.

Kohli completes 7000 runs in IPL

Virat Kohli has been in great touch in the ongoing season of IPL. He has been the consistent scorer for RCB in 2023 as he amassed 416 runs in 10 matches played so far at an average of 52 and a strike rate of 135.50 including six half-centuries. Along with the skipper Faf du Plessis as an opening partner, Kohli has given so many big starts to RCB that helped them to register big totals.

Recently, the star RCB batter achieved another milestone as he become the first player to cross 7000 runs in IPL history while batting against DC in match number 50 of IPL 2023 after he got out after scoring 55 runs in 46 balls hitting five boundaries.
