After the completion of the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Monday, May 30, India will lock horns with Australia in the final of the Test Championship, which is scheduled to take place from June 7 to June 11 at The Oval, in Southampton. This will be the second consecutive Test Championship Final for the Indian side.

Ruturaj Gaikwad told the cricket board that he will be getting married on June 3–4; as a result, Mumbai opener Yashasvi Jaiswal is added to the India team for the World Test Championship (WTC) final as a stand-by player. According to The Indian Express, Jaiswal will be travelling to London in a few days since the team management has requested him to start exercising with the red ball and he already has a UK visa.

In the coming week, the cricketer for Maharashtra is scheduled to wed Utkarsha Pawar. According to sources, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Utkarsha Pawar want to wed on June 3–4. The CSK batter has asked the Indian Cricket Board for personal leave to accommodate this. Notably, Gaikwad, who was listed as one of the standbys, was scheduled to depart for England following the IPL 2023 Final in order to attend the World Test Championship Final.

“He (Jaiswal) will be joining the Indian team as Gaikwad has informed us that he won’t be able to fly due to his marriage. He would be able to join the team post-June 5. (But) Coach Rahul Dravid took a call, asking the selectors to pick a replacement. So, Jaiswal will now fly to London soon,” an Indian Cricket Board official was quoted saying by the Indian Express.

After winning the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 championship with Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Ruturaj Gaikwad posted images on social media with the unidentified woman, who is believed to be his fiancée Utkarsha Pawar. Utkarsha Pawar plays for Maharashtra in domestic cricket and was born in Pune. She bowls right-arm medium quick and bats right-handed.She was born on October 13, 1998. She started playing cricket at the age of 11. She was a student of the Institute of Nutrition and Fitness Sciences (INFS), Pune.
