The Indian cricket board is all set to host the second season of the women’s Premier League after the mind-blowing success of the first season of the women’s IPL or the WPL. The next season of the WPL will be conducted in 2024 after a successful season in early 2023.  

The window to announce the retained and released players for WPL 2024 ended on 15 October for all the team franchises. Gujarat Giants gained a lot of attention as they released more than half of their squad while the defending champions Mumbai Indians kept most of the players in their squad. Approximately 60 players were retained across the five teams while 29 players were released from the squads.
