‘Yeh England aaj he 500 run marega kya? – Twitter in absolute shambles after England’s T20 style batting against Pakistan in first Test
England has gotten a dream start that even they wouldn’t have thought of before the game. After all, there were a few players who were down to viral infection 24 hours back. Not to forget, the game was feared to be postponed after the visiting players got ill. However, the Three Lions, after winning the toss and electing to bat first, ripped apart Pakistan’s bowling.
At the toss, England’s skipper Ben Stokes said “Pretty obvious why! A bit of illness rocking around the camp, but the lads are dead keen. The wicket looks like it will play nicely.” On the other hand, Pakistan skipper Babar Azam said “For one and a half hours, it looks like it will help the fast bowlers.” However, the way England played showed that Azam read the wicket wrong while Stokes was right.
In the recently-concluded first session of the ongoing game, the Ben Stokes-led side blasted 174/0. The visitors gave a chance to Ben Duckett, who played his last Test in 2016, against India. He and Zak Crawley opened not just opened the batting but also ripped apart Pakistan’s bowling. Duckett is batting on 77 while Crawley is batting on 91.
At one stage, the latter could have become the first England player to score his Test century in the first session. However, he has another opportunity to score a Test hundred.
Pakistan bowlers were expensive to start
On the other hand, the home team played four debutants – Saud Shakeel, Mohammad Ali, Zahid Mehmood, and Haris Rauf. Shakeel is playing as a batter while the others are bowlers. However, the bowlers’ economy rate was more than six for each bowler. After this performance, the fans haven’t been able to keep calm.

If Pakistan bowl well, they should be able to restrict England to a score under 800 #PAKvsEng
