The next edition of the 20-20 World Cup is going to start on 16 October 2022. All top teams will be eager to perform well in the mega event in Australia. Australia won the last edition. Hence, they will look to defend the title on their home soil.

Here are five players who are set to miss the upcoming 20-20 World Cup due to injuries
Jasprit Bumrah
This Indian pacer just made a comeback to the Indian team in the T20I series against the Aussies. After recovering from injury setbacks, he made the comeback. Even, selectors considered him in the final squad for the upcoming 20-20 World Cup. In the Australia series, he played only two matches.
But, now ahead of the first T20I against Proteas, the Indian Cricket Board confirmed that the bowler will not play as he felt some back pain in the practice sessions. But, now as per reports on 29 September, Jasprit Bumrah is going to miss the World Cup due to a serious back stress fracture injury. However, he will not have surgery. But, as per sources, Bumrah will be out of action for four to six months.
