The on-field spat between Virat Kohli and Naveen-ul-Haq after Lucknow Super Giants clash with Royal Challengers Bangalore on Monday has now gone to social media. Both cricketers took on their Instagram handles to justify their on-field spat after the match.

RCB settled scores with LSG after registering a convincing victory against them in match number 43 of IPL 2023. RCB posted a total of 126 runs for the loss of 9 wickets, powered by the 44-run knock by the skipper Faf du Plessis. In reply, LSG were bowled out for just 108 runs in 19.5 overs. In their previous encounter, LSG registered a thrilling victory against RCB at the M. Chinnsawmy stadium as they chased 213 runs in the last ball of the match.

During the 17th over of the LSG innings, Kohli and Naveen got involved in a verbal spat. Kohli seemed to show his shoes before pointing at Naveen. After the match, when the players from both teams were shaking hands, Kohli and Naveen again had an exchange of words before Glenn Maxwell decided to step up and separate them.

After that, Kohli got involved in a heated exchange with the LSG coach Gautam Gambhir as they both seemed to ignore the various desperate efforts by their fellow teammates to stop them.

Players have been fined for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct

After that, RCB batter posted a story on his social media where he indirectly took a dig at the netizens who were giving their opinion on the Internet without knowing the truth. His story stated, “Everything we hear is an opinion, not a fact. Everything we see is a perspective, not the truth.”

However, Naveen didn’t stay back as he also came up with the Insta story where he stated, You get what you deserve that’s how it should be and that’s how it goes.”

Fans are having different opinions after the cricketers took on their social media just after the incident. However, the cricketers were punished for violating the IPL code of conduct. Kohli and Gambhir have been fined 100% of their match fees. On the other hand, Naveen has to give 50% of his match earnings.
