Babar Azam is a name the fans are no stranger with. He is one of those rare batters in the world who has an impressive record in all formats of the game. He is often compared to Virat Kohli and that is a testament to his batting abilities. Notably, Babar Azam is currently the captain of Pakistan in all three formats of the game. He is considered an important asset to the Pakistan team.

But what comes in a piece of big news is the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has issued a strict warning to Azam. The warning came on the back of a controversial act by the Pakistan skipper. Notably, he brought his brother Safeer for a practice at the high-performance center in Lahore. This has seemingly not gone down well with the PCB and hence they have issued a strict warning to the talismanic batter.

Speaking of Babar Azam’s career he has represented Pakistan in 40 Tests, 86 ODIs, and 74 T20Is. In the longest format of the game, he has scored 2851 runs at an average of 46.0. While in white-ball cricket he has scored 4261 runs in ODIs at an average of 59.2 and strike rate of 90.3. In the shortest format of the game, Azam has amassed 2686 runs at an average of 45.5 and a strike rate of 129.4.

Under Babar Azam’s captaincy, Pakistan made it to the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup in 2021. He scored 303 runs from 6 innings and played an important part in the team’s batting. He amassed 4 half-centuries in the tournament. Besides Azam also became the first captain in the history of Pakistan cricket to register a victory against their arch-rivals India in a World Cup tournament.
