In the ongoing 3rd Test match between India and England, the visitors scored 207 runs in one and a half sessions. Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett displayed the proper Bazball approach by giving a quick start to their inning. Even though Crawley was dismissed early by Ravi Ashwin, Duckett displayed some excellent batting shots and went on to score a quick-fire century. By the end of day 2, he had scored 133 runs off 118 balls, while the total score was 207 runs at the loss of two wickets.

On the first day, India opted to bat first. It was proven to be effective as India went on to score 445 runs with the help of Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja and Sarfaraz Khan. Both Sharma and Jadeja scored 131 and 112 runs respectively, while Sarfaraz scored 62 runs off 66 balls. He played a dynamic inning in his debut match. Moreover, Dhruv Jurel also played a classic inning of 46 runs in his debut. Moreover, for England, Mark Wood took four wickets while Rehman Ahmed got two wickets.

The match seems to have taken an intriguing turn already due to England’s aggressive batting. If they continue to bat with this speed, they will surely cross the 445-run mark and take a good lead. Moreover, after a lot of matches, the fans might get to see a five-day Test match.

‘It’s been quite a long journey’ – Ravi Ashwin on his 500th wicket

Ravichandran Ashwin, one of the best spinners in India, has taken 500 Test wickets in the 3rd Test match against England. Moreover, he decided to dedicate the wickets milestone to his father who has always supported him throughout. Ashwin’s 500th wicket was England’s Zak Crawley, who got dismissed on 15 runs while playing a good inning.

Ashwin said, “It’s been quite a long journey. Firstly I’d like to dedicate this feat to my father. He’s been with me through thick and thin, and probably had a heart attack every time he’s watched me play. His health has probably gone for a toss because of that. England are showing a lot of intent, playing like they would in an ODI or T20 game.”
