Ramiz Raja makes a sharp remark on India Cricket Team ahead of INDO-PAK clash

Pakistan Cricket Board chairperson Ramiz Raja has given a sharp remark on the India Cricket Team. Recently, he said that Virat Kohli’s 71st international century that came against Afghanistan during the Asia Cup 2022 made the Indian fans forget about the team’s performance. Meanwhile, India and Pakistan will play each other in the upcoming 20-20 World Cup 2022 on October 23. Only a couple of weeks are left in the clash.

Ahead of the game, the former Pakistan skipper has claimed that the Indian team has started respecting the Pakistan side in recent times. His reference was Pakistan’s win against India in the 2021 20-20 World Cup and the Super Four game of the Asia Cup 2022. Raja also called India a ‘million-dollar’ team and praised his team’s performances against the Men In Blue.

The 1992 World Cup winner also spoke about the upcoming INDO-PAK game. He said that the clash of the arch-rivals is more about mental toughness rather than skills. He also spoke about the World Cup game he played against India. The right-hander said that the team during his playing failed to win against their Asian rivals in the World Cups.

“Skill aur talent se zyada mental match hota hain yeh. So agar aap temperamentally strong he and mentally focussed he aur haar manne ko taiyar nahi hain toh chhoti team bhi badi team ko hara sakti hain. And Pakistan humesha se underdogs rahein hain jab bhi India se muqabla huye hain, but of late, unhone hume respect dena shuru kardiya hain kyunki unke khayal me yeh hain ki Pakistan hume kabhi hara hi nehi sakte. So yehi main kehta hu ki Pakistan ko credit dijiye kyunki ek billion-dollar team cricket industry ko hum harate he. Main toh khud World Cups khela hu, humlog toh India ko nehi hara paate the. Iss team ko credit dena chaiye kyunki limited resources, compared to India, se prepare karte he and tagda muqabla karte hain,” he said in a conversation with Dawn.
