“He is so honest, MS Dhoni”: Twitter lauds MS Dhoni’s honesty as he asks for review for a doubtful catch

Chennai has begun its Indian T20 League journey in the worst way possible. They have suffered three defeats in their first three matches of the tournament. Although, the former skipper of the team MS Dhoni has been putting up some brilliant shows on the field.

Dhoni was brilliant with his bat in the first two matches of the team. However, in their latest outing against Punjab, he showed brilliance on the field. He affected a brilliant run out of Bhanuka Rajapaksa during Punjab’s innings, which got the fans talking about his fitness even at the age of 40.

Meanwhile in another incident during the match, MS Dhoni earned praise from the fans because of his honesty. Dwaine Pretorius was bowling the 8^th over of the innings for Chennai. At the moment Liam Livingstone was bringing down his wrath on the Chennai bowlers. On the second ball of the over Livingstone looked to clip the ball down to the fine leg. But MSD dived and caught the ball. As soon as he completed the catch his teammates were ecstatic, but Dhoni looked at the umpires and asked them to refer it and see whether the catch was clean or not. In the replays, it was clear that the ball had touched the ground and the batter survived.

The honesty that the veteran displayed immediately made him the talk of social media. The fans were seen heaping praises on the keeper, for his honesty even at the crucial juncture of the game. MSD has always been known to play the game in the correct spirit and put the interest of cricket ahead of personal interests.
