After clinching the ODI series 2-1, now team India will lock horns with West Indies side in the five-match T20I series. The first match of the series is set to be played on Thursday, August 3 at the Brain Lara Stadium, Tarouba, in Trinidad. As the tournament shifts to the shortest format of the game, everyone’s eyes would be on the weather forecast, as the weather in Trinidad is unpredictable.
The weather in Trinidad changes quickly, from sunny mornings to sudden afternoon thunderstorms. The place is currently in the middle of the rainy season, which starts in the month of June and ends in the month of December. According to the latest weather forecast, there is a 50% chance of rain in Trinidad on Thursday, August 3. There are chances of thunderstorms as well later in the day. So there is a high chance that the game will get affected.
Although, the Brain Lara Stadium has excellent drainage facilities, continuous rainfall can create challenges for preparing the ground. The rain can also change the pitch conditions, which plays a crucial part in the shortest format of the game.
