This is another player who is making a comeback to the Indian team after getting sidelined by injuries. Deepak Chahar is all set to make a comeback in the next three ODIs in Zimbabwe. Therefore, the selectors decided not to pick him in the final squad as he does not have a lot of match practice under his belt. However, they added him as a backup along with Shreyas Iyer and Axar Patel for the Asia Cup 2022.
