Pakistan skipper Babar Azam failed to deliver when it mattered the most in the ongoing second Test against New Zealand. In the ongoing Day Five of the game, the team needs to chase the target of 319 runs. They started the day at 0/2, having lost two wickets at the fag end of Day Four. Imam-ul-Haq lost his wicket early in the day when the scorecard read 35 runs.

At this stage, the Pakistan skipper made it out to the center. He started positively against the run of the play in the series as he hit two singles and a boundary in the first 10 balls or so. While Shan Masood was playing a little cautiously, Azam played it as an ODI game for a while. Even though he slowed down a bit against Matt Henry, he reached 27 runs in 41 balls.

When it looked like he would take the team out of trouble, he was caught down the leg side. Facing Michael Bracewell, the right-hander tried to turn the ball coming into him towards the leg side. However, the latter could only play it to Tom Latham, stationed at a catching position. The Kiwi opening batter dove and took a good catch.

Now, the fans have taken an opportunity to troll the 2017 Champions Trophy winner.

Pakistan is in further trouble as they have lost five wickets

Furthermore, the home side is on the brink of losing their third Test series at home since March last year. 10 months back, the team lost to Australia by 1-0 and was cleanly swept by England in the three-match series in December last year. Now, in the ongoing series against New Zealand, the first game ended in a draw due to bad light.

In the ongoing second game, it looks like Pakistan will lose the game and the series 1-0. Two overs later after Babar’s wicket, Shan Masood fell too and the team is left with the last recognized batting pair of Sarfaraz Ahmed and Saud Shakeel. The team has lost five wickets with more than two sessions left in the game
