India pacer Mohammed Siraj has reclaimed the number one spot of ODI bowlers after his Asia Cup 2023 final heroics. In the summit clash against Sri Lanka, he reduced the team to 50 all-out after taking six wickets for 21 runs. Notably, Siraj was at this position from January and March this year. He was replaced by Australia’s Josh Hazlewood. Ahead of the continental tournament, the Royal Challengers Bangalore player in the IPL was at number eight.

During the tournament, the Hyderabad-born player took 12 wickets including the six-fer in the final averaging 12.20. Talking about other Indian bowlers, Kuldeep Yadav had dropped from six to nine despite picking nine wickets averaging 11.44 including a fifer against Pakistan.
