The Indian T20 League has been the biggest stage for players to showcase their talents and make it big in the international arena. With the 15th edition of the tournament reaching its end, we have been witness to some outstanding performances.

Here we take a look at the players from each franchise who are likely to play in the T29 World Cup scheduled to take place later this year in Australia.

Chennai: Ruturaj GaikwadHe has left a deep impression in the hearts of the fans and experts with his batting antics in ITL 2021. Although, the 2022 season has not been up to the expectations he has shown flashes of his brilliance. It is expected that the selectors will keep faith in the young man’s talent and book a ticket for him to Australia for the big tournament.

Kolkata: Shreyas Iyer- Shreyas Iyer has been in the Indian mainframe of cricket for quite some time now. Amidst an average Indian T20 League 2022 season, he has played some brilliant knocks for Kolkata. Besides his form in the series against Sri Lanka showed that he is in good touch. Keeping this thing in mind he is sure to be on the flight to Australia.

Mumbai: Suryakumar Yadav- Although he is no longer a part of the Mumbai team, Surya has been the most important cog in their batting for the time he played in the tournament. In ITL 2022 SKY has played 8 matches and has scored 303 runs in them at an average of 43.29 and a strike rate of 145.67. These records are enough to see him in the squad for the T20 World Cup.

Delhi: Kuldeep Yadav: The ongoing Indian T20 League season has been the redemption tournament for the left-arm Chinaman bowler. He has picked up 20 wickets in 13 matches and has impressed everybody with his attitude. He is sure to make a comeback to the national team and be on the way to Australia for the T20 World Cup.

Punjab: Arshdeep Singh- He has evolved as the ‘Master of Death-overs’ in the Indian T20 League 2022. With his variations in line and length and near-perfect execution of yorkers, he is surely going to be an asset to have in the squad for the World Cup.

Bangalore: Harshal Patel-  Harshal Patel has proved his brilliance as a death-overs bowler in ITL 2021. He has been equally efficient in the ongoing season of the tournament. With 18 wickets in 12 matches and an economy of 7.42, he is going to be a great addition to the squad.

Gujarat: Mohammed Shami: Shami has been the most lethal weapon for Gujarat in the bowling department. He has picked up 18 wickets in 13 matches and has breathed fire with the new ball in his hand. With the experience, he brings to the table he is surely going to be a part of the team that goes to Australia for the T20 World Cup.

Lucknow: KL RahulThe skipper of the Lucknow team has also been their most important batter. He is in prime touch in the tournament and has scored 469 runs in the tournament from 13 matches. His average is 42.64 and his strike rate is 135.55. The ever-consistent Rahul will surely be in the plans of the selectors for the T20 World Cup.

Rajasthan: Yuzvendra Chahal- The current highest wicket-taker of the tournament with 24 wickets in 13 matches has looked in a great rhythm. On the fast pitches of Australia Yuzi, using his variations in flight, length and speed can turn out to be the triumph card for India.

Hyderabad: Umran Malik: Speak of Australia and we will be reminded of the fast and pacy pitches there. And Umran Malik has been one pacy bloke on the Indian T20 League 2022. He holds the record for the fastest delivery in the tournament clocking 157 kmph. Besides, bowling fast he has been very potent with the ball picking up 21 wickets in 13 matches. On the fast tracks of Australia, Malik might turn out to be the biggest match-winner for the Men in Blue.
