Six players who won Indian T20 League trophy without playing a single game

The Indian T20 League has completed its 15^th year. The cash-rich tournament has been the most sought-after league across the globe. It brings the biggest names of the world cricket under one roof every year. Many renowned names have participated in the tournament over the years and have not been able to lay their hands on the coveted trophy. However, the proverb that ‘Cricket is a great leveler’, has been proved true as many cricketers who have just been a part of the team and have not played a single game have won the title.

Here is a look at five such players who were a part of the winning team in different seasons but did not play a single match for the team in the respective seasons.

1. Gurkeerat Singh Mann (Gujarat- 2022): Gurkeerat Singh Mann has been a common name in the domestic circuit of India. His brilliant show in the domestic arena prompted the Indian T20 League’s franchise Punjab to buy him in 2012. After playing for the franchise till 2017, he went on to represent Bangalore and Kolkata in later seasons.

Gujarat secured the services of the lower-order batter and handy off-spinner for the Indian T20 League 2022. However, Gujarat did not the services of the player in order to keep their winning combination intact. Although he would have liked to make a few appearances in the tournament, he will not be complaining after the win in the finals of the tournament.
