‘Yehi jitenge bass’- Fans react as RCB win IPL in Cricket 22 video game
Cricket 22 is a cricket video game released in 2021 by Nacon and developed by Big Ant Studios. It is the official video game of the 2021-22 Ashes cricket series and the sequel to the 2019 game Cricket 19. It features revamped bowling and fielding controls with an arcade style of gameplay, as well as a new after-touch system that allows the player to control the direction of the ball after it has been bowled.
A new “Direct-Hit” system for fielding has also been included, adding a cinematic aspect to catches and control over the speed of the ball when delivered to the stumps. Both men’s and women’s Big Bash League versions are included in the game for the first time. The game also included new tournaments like Caribbean Premier League and The Hundred.
The game’s licensing has also been extended and expanded to New Zealand, the West Indies, and Ireland, in addition to Australia and England, since genuine names and real photos of each country’s players may be utilized in the game. It also has the feature of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Here in this tweet shows that Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) won the IPL trophy in the video game.
RCB have never won a title in the IPL in their 16 seasons. The squad reached the final three times in 2009, 2011 and 2016 but never got over the line. Apart from those seasons, RCB also made the top four in 2010, 2015, 2020, 2021, and 2022.
RCB could not make the Playoffs for the IPL 2023 after a six-wicket loss against Gujarat Titans in the last league stage match at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. It was a must-win game for them in order to qualify but Shubman Gill’s brilliant century led Hardik Pandya’s side to win the match. The Bengaluru-based franchise played 14 IPL matches this season, winning seven and losing as many games. They ended the sixth in the points table.
