Gujarat likely to rope in this destructive batter as Jason Roy’s replacement
In what can be called big news, Rahmanullah Gurbaz is seemingly set to make his debut in the Indian T20 league. As Jason Roy had earlier opted out of the upcoming season, Gujarat need to replace the English opener. The aggressive opener had stated that he wanted to spend some time with his family ahead of his busy schedule.
Although it isn’t official, Gurbaz looks all set to replace Roy in the fifteenth edition of the league. The Afghan cricketer had shared a story, which stated that he will be featuring the biggest T20 league in the world. He had reposted a story on Instagram as well.
“Congratulations Gurbaz for your ITL debut” read the caption of the user. Thus, it is safe to assume that the keeper-batter will be representing the Pandya-led side. A fan on Twitter shared the screenshot of his Instagram story on Twitter as well.
Thus, it went viral in no time and people started speculating that the 20-year-old has been announced as the official replacement of the English batter. However, it is to be noted that the franchise are yet to confirm the same and haven’t officially announced any replacement as of now.
